For years I dreamed of becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher. I sought not only to deepen my practice but to learn how to share the wealth of benefits and fun yoga offers to those who are interested. Last summer I moved to New York City and within weeks of unboxing and subway-shuffling my inspiration tanks were fueled and I knew the time and space to accomplish said goal was “now”. What this training provided me was beyond what I had imagined. Community, thought provoking philosophical conversation, and a space to grow into a better version of myself were among the highlights… sprinkled with lessons in anatomy, yogic history, and posture perfection. While the novel COVID-19 has postponed our graduation ceremony to a later date I am proud to say 2020 has given me the gift of an RYT title. I took the above photo on a Canon AE-1 with 35mm film.
